Thanks to a pattern change for Blue Angels practice at NAS Pensacola, I had my second chance at coming face to face Blue Angels Lead Solo “Franz” as he approaches at over 700mph, this time about 40 feet overhead! Robertson Island, aka Sand Island, was aligned perfectly with the show line for about a week of practices and allowed me to catch him cooking head on one more time!
